Ladle and Tundish Covering Compound

Using a non-liquid composition that reacts at the same temperature as the liquid metal to generate a viscous liquid flux layer in contact with the liquid metal while keeping a non-liquid layer above the liquid layer, ladle and tundish covering compound is used to cover liquid metal. It is a freely flowing substance that can be utilised in a ladle or tundish. In addition to this, the said product minimises heat loss from radiation and ladle jams. Ladle and tundish covering compound also works to keep molten steel from coming into contact with the atmosphere. It non-hazardous and nontoxic in nature.
